Alpaca Class - Year 3/4

Teacher : Mrs McCabe-Reeson

Children : Years 3 and 4

Welcome to the Alpaca Class page!

On this page you will find information that you may find useful. We will do our very best to update this page on a regular basis and here you will find useful website links, top tips and, most importantly, dates for your diary! There is also a photo gallery so that you can see what we have been up to.

Useful Information

PE days: Tuesday and Wednesday. Please remember to come into school in your PE kit on these days, as well as removing your earrings and tying back your hair.

Changing reading books: Books can be changed once they have been read. Children can change their books when they come to school in the morning.

Class showcase/Assembly: Our Summer Term assembly will be on Thursday 19th June. We will be presenting a range of learning we have completed this year, so you can see how hard we have been working. We would be delighted for you to come and watch us and see what we have been doing.

Homework

On a weekly basis, we expect the children to complete the following activities.

Reading: At least 3 times per week.

Times Tables Rockstars: The children are expected to log onto Times Tables Rockstars during the week. Year 3's are focusing on fours but keep practising twos, threes, fives and tens. Year 4's are focusing on sevens, but they need to be secure in ALL times tables by the end of the year, so practise all of them as much as you can.

Hit the Button and Daily 10 are also very useful websites to help with maths skills.

Spellings: The children are expected to log onto Spelling Shed during the week and practise their set spellings. The children are tested on their spellings on Mondays and new spelling will be sent home on the same day.

By the end of Year 4, children should be able to correctly spell the words on the year 3/4 spelling list. Please see the link for this list.
