Tattershall Primary School was buzzing with excitement during a special school experience day, as 'Animals UK' brought an array of fascinating creatures to inspire and educate the students. The children eagerly gathered around as they were introduced to a majestic owl, its feathers soft and cool to the touch, offering a glimpse into the world of birds of prey. A tarantula, with its velvety legs and gentle demeanour, drew a mix of curiosity and apprehension, encouraging brave hands to reach out and explore. The highlight for many was the friendly skunk, which amazed everyone with its unique appearance and sweet nature, proving that not all skunks are to be feared. Students took turns meeting a slow-moving tortoise, eyes wide with wonder, while the bearded dragon basked calmly in the sun, creating a perfect opportunity to learn about reptiles. Lastly, the grand finale featured a long, sleek python, whose smooth scales glided through the children’s hands, leaving them in awe of its size and beauty. What an amazing day!
